Capricorn Coast Coffee
Queensland, traditionally known for its great weather and beautiful beaches, has been quietly building a name for itself as great coffee growing region. Due to its valuable soils the once well known Capricorn Coast Coffee plantation has recently been replaced with fruit trees and so no longer exists – Yahava has secured the last of their great tasting coffee. So this is your last opportunity to taste it.
Originally lying along the Tropic of Capricorn, just 30 kilometres north of Yeppoon at the Capricorn Coast this rich and fertile coffee plantation was ideally located between the subtropical North Queensland State forest and the shores of the Great Barrier reef. With bright sunny summers and slightly cooler winters combined with nutrient rich soils the scene was set to produce fantastic Arabica coffee. Unfortunately for coffee lovers, this unique land was discovered by others with interests in producing fruit. Another plantation lost. The flavours are of soft low acidity and nuttiness at the front of the pallet with a delightfully sweet aroma. Try it now or forever wonder…
ENJOY!
