Jasmine blossom is believed to have been used by the Chinese to scent tea since the fifth century. The flower is blended with the unfermented tea where it takes only four hours for the tea to absorb the delicate Jasmine fragrance. The green tea is lower in tannin and should be steeped at a lower temperature for shorter periods but can be steeped multiple times.
