We consider the stunning Margaret River Region to be the jewel in Western Australia’s crown. Not only is it the top destination for WA travellers but Margaret River is considered one of Australia’s iconic ‘must sees’. Famous for its world class surf breaks, stunning beaches, exploring caves, kayaking rivers, brewery hopping and of course Margaret River wine tours. The most important thing to do however and the most important place to visit in Margaret River and the South West is Yahava KoffeeWorks. Make sure it is on your to do list. Located at Doust Corner, 2/2 Andrew’s Way, this is the place that arguably has the best coffee in Margaret River.
“Being passionate coffee lovers, my wife and I dropped down here for a quick cuppa and were instead treated to a glorious coffee tasting by a knowledgeable and passionate gentleman, free of charge, wondered around looking at all the various machine used to make a good coffee throughout time and were secretly delighted that the process is not as hard as it was back then! We bought ourselves a couple of good coffees and left feeling content and happy knowing more about the industry and what we work with everyday!”
“The experience of tasting coffee like you taste wine is amazing. Truly worth the visit. I recommend you try their ice coffee. Also, if coffee is not your style, or even if it is, there is a selection of teas you can also taste. Fresh, quality delicious teas. I would recommend the peppermint, which is much, much better than in teabags.”
“Twice during our stay down south my partner and I, an avid coffee drinker and a barista, visited Yahava due to its stellar reviews and we were not let down! I was initially stunned by the sheer rustic aesthetics of the cafe, the interior is gorgeously decorated and the bean and tea displays are super cute. The barista was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the blends they were currently using, each of which my partner asked about before ordering a simple espresso, and made us excellent coffee. My soy milk was steamed perfectly (something that any soy milk drinker will know is hard to come by) and I was left wanting more!”
“Great coffee roastery and cafe. This is Yahava’s main outlet in the Margaret River region, and features a roastery where you can watch your favourite beans being roasted. Also on offer are free coffee tastings, or if you want a more in depth experience, you can sign up for a roasting class and a complete tasting experience. The cafe here serves food and great coffee and there’s a park outside with some play equipment for the kids within view of a portion of the outdoor seating area.”
