Description
Botanical: Camellia sinensis
Origin: China
Health Benefits: This tea has undergone very little oxidising so retains many valuable nutrients. Catechins present in the brew stimulate fat oxidation and energy expenditure. Green tea has been shown to lower the risk in some cancers, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. It boosts cognitive function and can reduce the risks of neurodegenerative disease such as Alzheimer’s.
Vanilla is a native Mexican orchid that produces a seed pod with the world famous flavour and deemed to be the second most expensive herb on the planet, behind saffron. It is difficult to grow and a very labour intensive crop (it requires hand pollination) but it is also one of the most sought after flavours in the world. Called the ‘Dessert Blend’, Vanilla green is a light and crisp blend of green tea and vanilla bean. Less floral and woodier than the other flavoured greens, the pleasant bouquet and the flavour of vanilla
remain constantly refreshing.

The Monarch Butterfly
Danaus plexippus
This is possibly our most famous butterfly. These milkweed butterflies are extraordinary long distance flyers. In autumn they fly
from Canada for thousands of kilometers to overwinter in Mexico home also to the rare and valuable vanilla orchid. But it takes 3 generations of butterfly to make the trip.
