Join us on an adventure around the world as we source great coffee beans for us to enjoy through Specialty Coffee Perth!
As a local roastery and coffee shop in Perth with an online shop that ships anywhere in Australia, Yahava continuously seeks to find the best coffee beans from the greatest coffee estates in the world so that everyone at home can enjoy the delights of coffee.
Our Specialty Estate coffees are single-origin, micro-lot harvests from small estates and farms dotted around the coffee belt. These feature wonderful coffee bean flavours from many of the new and ’emerging’ coffee-growing areas, often as a result of improving growing, harvesting and processing techniques. All are hand-picked coffees and are purchased on the open market as they become available. These purchases are spontaneous and are difficult if not impossible to repeat, so when the coffee is gone it is unlikely that we can purchase more.
Not all Specialty Coffees are created equal, especially from rare coffee beans. Even amongst specialty coffees, we have coffees that end up in blends, single origins that shine bright on their own, and rare coffees that offer something truly unique in the cup. That is why we encourage you to get your fill before these special coffee beans are all consumed.
Though drinking coffee is an experience that starts from your chosen brewing method, the best way to enjoy Specialty Coffee is to brew your coffee beans in the way that will best extract the colourful flavours from these rare beans. If you’re struggling to get the perfect grind, dose or shot extraction, Yahava’s home brewing equipment and coffee accessories will save the day. For more information about coffee brewing, check out our blog about how to make better coffee at home or at work.
A Stovetop Coffee Maker or a Moka Express is a hassle-free coffee equipment that simply uses a stovetop to produce coffee that mirrors the richness and depth of Espresso. Just simply add water to the basin and place your fine ground coffee on the filter/funnel and then heat it up until the pot boils and releases rich and thick coffee.
A Coffee Plunger, Bodum Plunger or French Press is one of the easiest and most convenient ways to brew specialty coffee at home or at work. Simply add your coarsely ground coffee and pour boiling hot water. Put on the lid and wait for the brew for about 4 to 5 minutes before pushing down the plunger to filter the coffee.
A Mini Press or an Aeropress Coffee Maker is a portable and compact coffee maker that makes use of water pressure. Add in medium or fine ground coffee to the water chamber and then place it over your cup. Pour over boiling water and then wait for 30 seconds up to a minute before pressing the lid to pressurise the container and let the brew fall.
Yahava only procures arabica coffee beans, renowned for their intense flavours and exceptional quality from countries such as Guatemala, Ethiopia and Kenya. While our Signature Koffees are grown on estates with a proven history of quality and reliability, we are also constantly looking for new and exciting harvests grown in remote and often difficult-to-access plantations, to find the perfect coffee beans for Australian coffee lovers. All of our coffee beans can be pre-ground ready for your coffee equipment. Shop Yahava’s online store and buy specialty coffee beans in Perth with delivery to anywhere in the country, including Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
Depending on availability, you may be able to get another bag of Specialty Coffee Beans before the end of the month but you will need to be quick. Because they are ‘monthly’ limited-edition coffee beans, we suggest ordering as soon as you’ve taken a liking to the roast.
At Yahava, we welcome your feedback and if we hear of a coffee that is popular we will try to secure more. This is not always possible because of the size of the harvests and our ability to secure more. The very nature of a micro-lot Speciality Estate Coffee makes it special and very difficult to obtain.
