If you have never been inside a KoffeeWorks before then you are in for a real treat.
Once you step inside a Yahava KoffeeWorks you will be bamboozled with options. How do I find my way around?
The first thing you will see is the Roastery but you may want to head straight to the Tasting Benches and start your adventure here. After that, it will be on to the Koffee Shed and the Tea Shed, or perhaps over to the Academy, or you may wish to take a look at the Brewing Equipment Displays. Everyone wants to fossick around in the Markets so keep some time up your sleeve for this and most people end up in the Kafé for a brew, a nibble and a bit of a rest. If you get lost or need some help just head over to the Post Office and ask one of the Krew for some help. You may not see all there is to see the first time but that’s OK. We see many of our fans making numerous trips to explore more stuff and bring their friends with them. Make the journey to our Yahava KoffeeWorks and spend some quality time learning more about this amazing world of tropical treats.

The aroma of fresh roasted coffee
THE ROASTERY
That wonderful aroma of freshly roasted coffee will be the first delight you will encounter as you walk through the entrance. You won’t need to look far to see the Roaster and more than likely it will be fired up and roasting. Roasting is as much a science as it is an art and our Roasters will explain how we roast different beans and what happens to the beans as they caramelize to that delicious, dark golden brown. Listen for a cracking noise inside the drum that signals it’s time to pour the smoking beans into the cooling tray. Watch as the sweep arms mix the beans with cool air blown through the tray. Gradually the cracking subsides, the smoke clears and another fresh roast is ready to bag. Every coffee we import comes from coffee estates around the vast global coffee belt. Each has sumptuous delicate flavours that are released during the different roasting procedures. Our roasters are tasked with finding the exact recipe that delivers the very best flavours.

Let your taste buds find the perfect coffee
THE TASTING BENCH
You can’t claim to have had the KoffeeWorks experience unless you have done time on the Tasting Bench. The Tasting Benches are legendary and many can claim to have discovered their love of coffee right here. Simply stepping up to the bench qualifies you as a ‘Koffee Explorer’ where you will start your coffee taste adventure. From here you will be guided around some of the world’s finest estates, tasting coffees, discussing the flavours and much more. We will describe how you can recognise body, brightness and the different flavours released from each brew. You will discover the difference between high grown coffees, single origins and blends and how geography and climate impact on the taste. But your Tasting Bench foray may go beyond just coffee. There are also teas, elixirs, essences, chocolates and frappes in our stable of goodies that you can sample. When your taste buds need a rest it will be time to move on to the next chapter of your KoffeeWorks adventure.
Koffees from the world’s finest estates
THE KOFFEE SHED
Here will you find some of the world’s most delicious coffees, all under one roof. If the collection seems bewildering then we will make the task of finding the perfect coffee for you a little easier. The coffees in the shed are categorised with the mellower roasts at one end and run to the bolder coffees at the other. Our ‘house coffees’ are all roasted regularly and are the result of years of roasting and refining. Our customers keep coming back for time and time again for these great coffees. If you see a coffee that looks like it could be what you are after, remember the name and front up at the Tasting Bench for a sample. You might like to sample our Specialty Estate coffees, (These are micro-lots of coffee that we discover but once they’re gone they’re gone. Keep an eye on these because each month we bring in another few sacks that we think you will enjoy). We also roast ‘Limited Edition’ coffees, our ‘Taste the World’ and a ‘Winter Blend’ called Storm are always very popular. Finally, there is our ‘Grand Cru’ Koffee (Internationally recognised as one of the best coffees in the world). We think in all of this there will be something that takes your fancy.
IF YOU LOVE OUR COFFEEs, YOU WILL ADORE OUR TEAS
THE TEA SHED
Many of our coffee drinkers tell us they are lovers of tea as well. This has inspired us to match the quality of our coffees with a wonderful offering of premium leaf teas imported from a wide variety of tea gardens. We have concentrated our efforts on bringing you the very finest harvests in the most popular teas. If you are a black tea drinker then the English Brekky and Earl Grey classics are right here for you. When you are ready you might want to explore delicious flavoured black teas such as our Caramel or Masala Chai. If green tea is more to your liking then we have a wonderful selection that includes flavoured as well as floral greens and rare white tea. No tea stable would be complete without herbal teas like the Peppermint and the ever-popular African Rooibos. So come and explore the wonderful world of tea. Just like our coffees tea tasting is encouraged and catered.
make a café quality coffee at home
THE BREWING EQUIPMENT
Once you have discovered your favourite coffee you will want to enjoy a drop at home or at work whenever the moment presents. The key to enjoying a great coffee has as much to do with how a coffee is made, as it has to do with the quality of the coffee. We have worked hard to accumulate a great array of the coffee and tea brewing equipment brands. Because there are so many brewing methods, (stove tops, filters, pour-overs, french press and cold drips, to name a few) we are on hand to guide you with understanding what brewing equipment will suit you. Particular brew methods are better suited to certain coffees and the taste extracted from each also changes. Our suggestion is to first discover your favourite coffee and then come and talk to us about home brewing and we will not only help you choose the right equipment but we can give you some background on getting the best from your new equipment purchase.
LEARNING THE science and the ART OF COFFEE making
THE BREWING ACADEMY
You may wish to learn to serve coffee in a café or you may just wish to make great coffee at home or work. You will find a barista course at our Academy tailored to any of those requirements. We will teach you all there is to know about making espressos, stretching milk, setting your grinder, and cleaning your equipment. The Academy is also the place where you will discover the difference between a Latte and a Cappuccino or a Ristretto and a Long Black. Understanding how to make a great coffee starts by understanding how coffee is grown and what the difference is between low and high altitude coffees, wet and dry processed coffees and mellow and bold roasts. Our courses range from absolute beginner level right up to hospitality end including refresher courses for commercial operators. Some of the Academy Courses are quick and easy. If timing permits we run ‘spot-courses’ on any of the brew methods. Even the humble plunger in the right hand is capable of creating professional results. Ask about our courses and which would suit you. We will find a time and a course that suits you.
WHERE YOU ARE OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY
THE POST OFFICE
Most of our Krew are busy each day roasting, brewing, tasting and beavering away at a myriad of things designed to make your experience in the KoffeeWorks a real positive one. Most of the time they are out on the floor where they can be of most help to you but if you need help and can’t grab anyone’s attention, then just head over to the Post Office. This is where we pack and dispatch to our many customers all around Australia. Someone here will drop what they are doing and help you, always. This is also the place where you can sign up for home deliveries to make sure you never run out of your favourite coffee. Anytime you go online you can purchase anything and everything we have in store and this is the hub spot from where your orders will wing their way. We love all things coffee but you are definitely our top priority so visit the Post Office anytime even if just to say hi.
Just the place to take a quiet break
THE KAFÉ

We can promise you there is no better place for this than the Kafé. Where else will you get such a choice of beverages, teas, coffees, and chocolate both hot and cold? We have up to three different coffees in our grinders at any one time and ‘the pick of the house’ in teas. There is also a beautiful selection of savouries and sweets created to compliment our beverages.
